Violence Quote

Gandhi once said," I object violence because when it appears to do good; the evil it does is permanent." This means that you should not except all violence even when it does good, because the evil that was good will be permanent and will never change. I agree to this quote, because not all evil can be bad it can also be good, and that evil can always stay in the past forever if not decided correctly. This can be clearly seen in Boy 21 by: Mathew Quick. Like when Finley wants to get used to talking more with Erin, also when Finley gets tired of the football players, and when he has to control his anger.

Boy 21

My book is Boy 21 and the author is Matthew Quick. The theme of the book is violence. I chose this book because the cover interested me into reading it. I think later on in the book Finley the main character is going to stand up more for himself and get more confidant with his girlfriend, and get better at basketball and get a scholarship.

I Am Finley

I am quite and shy
I wonder if I will ever leave Belmont
I hear that the girls might not win State
I see the football players trying to lift heavy weights
I want to be called the best player on the team
I am quite and shy

I pretend to be tough
I feel like I'm outcaste
I touch the basketball as if it was mine
I worry when I play a game
I cry when Erin is sad
I am quite and shy

I understand when I need to open my mouth more often
I say things in the wrong time
I dream about making out with Erin every day
I try not to screw up in front of Erin
I hope me and Erin are going to the same college later on
I am quite and shy

Superman Quote

The quote that Christopher Reeve wrote explains that a hero can persevere anything that comes to him and can take on anything in his life. I agree with this quote and ow it understands and describes a hero. Everyone has a hero in there life whether you have a bad life or a good life. I haven't found my hero yet but he/she will come one day or another. So, never stop looking for yours and try to be a hero.

Rain, Allison, and Joehan all went for a walk in Times Square at midnight in 1976. They were some crazy kids that night. No parents and no bedtime. Rain was the first to notice the giraffe walking distinctly in the street lights. Rain ask," Did you all see that giraffe in the lights?" Allison answers," No, I think your crazy." All the kids except for Rain did not notice the Giraffe, but realized that the lights post were speaking to them and moving. So they asked Rain," Did you see the lights talk and move?" Rain says." No you all are crazy."  So they all decided to concentrate on the little things, but realized that they all were drunk and realized it was them that was seeing all the crazy things.
